Darren Acker is a strategic and results-driven executive with over 30 years’ experience, including being with Glovis America since 2011 in logistics, supply chain management, operations, transportation, business planning and negotiations. In his current role, he is responsible for finished vehicle logistics operations, overseeing all vehicle processing activities and road, rail and ocean transportation from US ports of entry and domestic plants to dealers. Acker is experienced in finished vehicles logistics, parts logistics, warehouse management, supply chain optimization and Just-In-Time logistics operations. Prior to joining Glovis, he spent five years with VASCOR Logistics managing parts logistics operations for Toyota. He is a former U.S. Marine, retiring honourably in 2005 after more than 20 years of service, where he specialized in supply chain administration, logistics management, recruitment, and human resource management. Darren holds a Master of Art degree in Organizational Leadership from University Massachusetts Global, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and a Global Logistics Specialist Professional Designation from Cal State University, Long Beach.
